Welcome to Prudence Crandall Center
Dedicated to helping individuals achieve lives free of domestic violence by providing care, advocacy, support, and education.
For over 50 years, Prudence Crandall Center has been a leader in our state’s efforts to reduce the devastating impact of domestic violence in the lives of victims, their children, and our community. Today PCC is one of only a few programs in the country offering the full spectrum of shelter, housing and support services needed to offer practical, long-term solutions to the challenges faced by victims, helping them heal and move forward to safe, self-sufficient lives, free of violence. We also provide professional trainings, prevention programs for youth, and outreach to raise awareness, reach victims in need, and prevent violence in the future. Through all of our programs and services, we touch the lives of 8,000 adults and children each year throughout our region and state.
We were blown away by this INCREDIBLE donation from our friends at Big Y World Class Market West Hartford! The passionate employees at this store came together to collect nonperishable foods & personal care essentials for our clients. We deeply appreciate the heartfelt, ongoing commitment from our amazing Big Y friends. We look forward to their visit every year & treasure how much they all look forward to supporting survivors & their families in whatever way they can 💜
We were thrilled when our friends Steve & Michelle from UnitedHealthcare reached out to see if the children in our programs would enjoy these incredible UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation, Inc. "Grins to Go" bags filled with activities, books, toys, and more! Shout out to the UHC Treasury Team, who caringly assembled the 45 bags that Steve brought to PCC. Thank you for always thinking of the survivors & families we serve 💜
